The implications of the finding that Inuit students have significantly more traditional, collectivity-oriented attitudes than white students is discussed in terms of restructuring classrooms using cooperative learning strategies. RÉSUMÉ D'après cette étude, une meilleure compréhension des attitudes des étudiants inuit aiderait les enseignants du Grand Nord dans l'exercice de leur profession. Après avoir constaté le manque de données sur les perspectives des étudiants inuit, l'auteur énumère les différences d'attitudes qui existent entre Inuit et Blancs dans deux écoles de l'Arctique. Le fait que les étudiants inuit soient plus traditionnels et plus orientés vers leur collectivité que les étudiants blancs est analysé en termes de restructuration des classes par le biais de stratégies d'apprentissage coopératif.
