The article discusses the potential of international transport corridors, which can be developed in the Arctic, as well as the analysis of the main factors aff ecting the success of such projects. The basic concept of international transport corridors, compared to the Northern Sea Route and the Northwest Passage to identify the most competitive corridor. Describes the requirements that must be done to transform the Northern Sea Route and the Northwest Passage to international transport corridor. We identifi ed and analyzed the main factors affecting the success of the project to transform the Northern Sea Route and the Northwest Passage to international transport corridor. В статье рассматриваются потенциальные международные транспортные коридоры, которые могут быть развиты в Арктике, а также анализируются основные факторы, влияющие на успех подобных проектов. Изложены основные понятия о международных транспортных коридорах, сравнивается Северный морской путь и Северо-западный проход с целью выявления наиболее конкурентоспособного коридора. Описаны требования, которые необходимо выполнить для преобразования Северного морского пути и Северо-западного прохода в международный транспортный коридор. Названы и проанализированы основные факторы, влияющие на успех проектов по преобразованию Северного морского пути и Северо-западного прохода в международный транспортный коридор.
