Lindner (22) on possible separation in mid-eastern Poland of several glacial (Narew, Nida, San 1, San 2) and interglacial (Podlasie, Małopolska, Ferdynandów) units that preceded this interglacial. They can be well correlated with similar units in adjacent areas of the Soviet Union (Figs. 4-7). Sediments • of the Masovian Interglacial age in these sites are overlain by sandy series that represent a climatic cooling, presumably during the Liwiec = Kolysk = Kaługa Glaciation when an ice sheet has not reached the described area. The overlying lake sediments were probably deposited during the Zbójno = Prineman = Chekalin Interglacial. Both mentioned series of lake sediments are glaciotectonicaly deformed together with separating sands and covered by till of the Odra = Dniepr Glaciation which was the last one when the Scandinavian ice sheet occupied this area. During the Lubawa = Shklov = Mikulino (?) Interglacial this area was mainly subjected to erosion and probably, also to accumulation in depressions formed after melting of dead ice blocks.
