Anhand neuerer Aufsammlungen in Ostsibirien und Alaska wurde die Synonymie von Hylaeus (H.) annulatus (Linnaeus, 1758) und H. (H.) ellipticus (Kirby, 1827) festgestellt und durch weitere Vergleiche von Stücken aus dem insgesamt sehr großen Verbreitungsgebiet bekräftigt. H. annulatus, zugleich die Typusart der Gattung Hylaeus F., ist damit die erste Art des Genus mit primärer holarktischer Verbreitung. Mit Hylaeus (H.) aborigensis sp. n. wird eine neue hochmontane Art der nivalis-Gruppe beschrieben.Nomenklatorische Handlungenaborigensis Dathe, 1994 (Hylaeus (Hylaeus)), spec. n.elliptica Kirby, 1827 (Prosopis), syn. n. of Hylaeus (Hylaeus) annulatus (Linnaeus, 1758) Study of new Hylaeus F. collections from East Siberia and Alaska gave some evidence of conspecifity of Hylaeus (H.) annulatus (Linnaeus, 1758.) and H. (H.) ellipticus (Kirby, 1827); this could be confirmed by the comparison of specimens of various origin from the large area of occurrence in Eurasia and North America as well. H. annulatus, incidentally also genotype of Hylaeus F., is the first known species of this genus with primary holarctic distribution. A new montan species of the nivalis-group, Hylaeus (H.) aborigensis sp. n., is described.
