TWO MIGRATION WAVES OF PRZEWORSK TRIBES TO WESTERN UKRAINIAN LANDS IN ROMAN TIME

In the 1st – 3rd centuries Western Ukrainian lands were the scene of the migration waves that repeatedly roamed on these territories. Archaeological materials show that at the beginning of the 1st century and all 2nd century the oncoming migratory flows of Dacian and Przeworsk populations led to the formation of the Lypytsk culture in this region, in which the ethnic traits of both communities were combined. Due to the turbulent events of the Marcoman wars (166–180 years) and the new migratory wave of Przeworsk tribes of the Vandals from the northwest territories of Europe, Lypytsk population went to the territory of Dacia. Mapping of the archaeological sites of the end of the 2nd – 3rd centuries shows that the direction of the movement of Przeworsk tribes was directed not only to thе Dniester and the Danube. It is also about the resettlement and colonization of the newly formed territories on Volyn, Podillia, Poissia by Przeworsk tribes. Західноукраїнські землі в І–ІІІ ст. були ареною міграційних хвиль, що неодноразово накочувалися на ці території. Археологічні матеріали показують, що на початку І ст. та протягом ІІ ст. зустрічні міграційні потоки дакійського та пшеворського населення призвели до утворення в цьому регіоні липицької культури, в якій поєдналися етнічні риси обох спільнот. Внаслідок буремних подій Маркоманських воєн (166–180 рр.) та нової міграційної хвилі пшеворських племен вандалів з північно-західних територій Європи, липицьке населення відходить на територію Дакії. Картографування археологічних пам’яток кінця ІІ–ІІІ ст. свідчить про те, що напрямок руху пшеворських племен спрямовувався не лише до Подунав’я. Йдеться про розселення та колонізацію пшеворцями нових територій на Волині, Поділлі та Поліссі.
