This article contributes to the journal’s efforts to shed light on the challenges related to the war in Ukraine and covers the following topics: 1) the continuing changes in Russian legislation and their aggravating impact on Indigenous peoples of Russia; 2) the worsening problem of crime in Russia and it’s impact on the wellbeing of Indigenous peoples; and 3) international cooperation of Indigenous peoples of Russia.
