Praca podejmuje wątek przemian tożsamościowych w kontekście migracji kobiet z Ukrainy do Polski i z Polski do Islandii. Zaplecze teoretyczne stanowi teoria kontroli tożsamości Petera Burke'a, której zakres pojęciowy znajduje się na pograniczu psychologii społecznej i socjologii emocji. W badaniach zastosowano metodologię jakościową: technikę wywiadu pogłębionego. Analizie poddano wątek zależności pomiędzy tożsamością a strukturą społeczną, problem płci kulturowej w migracjach oraz zagadnienie wpływu migracji na konstruowanie własnej tożsamości. In this thesis I provide an analysis of identity's changes in the context of women's migration from Poland to Iceland, and from Ukraine to Poland using qualitative method: in depth interview. Theoretical background is made by Peter Burke's Identity Control Theory. Research concerns such topics as: interrelation between identity and social structure, gender in migration studies and problem of influence, of the migration process on identity.
