JSU Meets the Vikings: Unearthing Archeology of an Icelandic Dwelling

This presentation describes archeological excavations at Kotid, a small Viking Age dwelling site in North Iceland. The presenter will describe the history of the project, a brief analysis of the buildings excavated at Kotid, the data collected from them and their experience as a JSU student working on this archeological excavation. The presenter will also share an artistic representation which is a part of an extended project they will present later in the spring at the Society for American Archaeology’s 89th Annual meeting.
