The research of the infl uence of SST anomalies in the low latitudes of the North Atlantic on the sea ice cover and surface air temperature in the marine Arctic was fulfi lled. Series of water temperature in the section along the Kola meridian, data of sea surface temperature in the the Atlantic Ocean, series of the average surface air temperature in the marine Arctic, data of extent of sea ice extent in the Arctic Ocean and the North hemisphere were used. Multivariate correlation analysis was used to determine the maximum correlation coeffi cients between SST anomalies and climate characteristics and corresponding delays (within 33–38 months). The formation scheme of remote SST infl uence on anomalies in the Arctic Ocean is proposed. |
