Numerous other homes, businesses and civic buildings were damaged. Approximately two weeks later, Beaver Creek was among the many Iowa streams to flood. While Parkersburg was not affected significantly by flooding, a number of properties were damaged, including Beaver Meadows Golf Course and a City park with athletic fields.
