Description
Summary:Assessment of the impact of climate change on rodent species in the Republic of Moldova. As a result of the research, it was established that rodents, in general, and Microtus arvalis, in particular, are sensitive to climatic factors and their herd largely depends on these factors. In the winter wheat field in April of the year with increased aridity, the dominant species in the community of small rodents is A. sylvaticus 50%, and in the year with favorable conditions, especially for microtines, when the peak phase was recorded, agrocoenosis research has shown that, from the point of view of dominance, the M.arvalis species dominates in March with 61%. The dominance in autumn populations of subadult individuals from the last generations 80% is an indicator of the increase in the number of rodents in the following year. In case, if the populations that will winter are dominated by adults 50%, which have now reproduced, the number of rodents will be small.
