Studies on reproduction microtine species in agrocenoses

The comparative study of the reproduction process of the twin species of the field mouse Microtus arvalis and the Eastern European mouse Microtus rossiaemeridionalis in different agricultural crops was carried out. It was determined that the intensity of reproduction of the individuals of the species M. rossiaemeridionalis from the forest curtains and straw bales is lower than that of M. arvalis from the cereal crops and perennial grasses during the breeding season. The significant difference in the peak phase of the population of reproductive females M. arvalis in cereal fields and M. rossiaemeridionalis in forest curtains is t=3.24.
