Summary:The article defines the elements of the natural and ecological framework (PEC) of the Usinsky district of the Komi Republic. The main types of environmental management are characterized and their impact on the main elements of the PEC is assessed. Quantitative data on the loss of the territories of the PEK due to subsurface use, which is the main threat to its preservation, are presented. The ways of solving the problem of loss of PEC in relation to the Arctic territories of the European Arctic are proposed.
