In addition Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and EU take part in the fishery. Similar to other cod stocks the North-east Arctic cod has shown a development towards earlier age at sexual maturity. These changes were largest in the 70s. Since 1982, age at maturation has varied without a clear time trend.
