Since 1968 selected fjords from Ryfylke to Finnmark have been surveyed acoustically to obtain an indices of abundance of 0-group sprat and Norwegian Spring Spawning Herring. From 1993 the survey also covers the fjords on the Skagerrak Coast. The sprat index forms the basis of prognoses for next year...
