Description
Summary:Meeting: International Congress on Circumpolar Health, 14th, 11-16 July, 2009, Yellowknife, NWT, CA The presentation outlines some initiatives taken under the umbrella of the PAN Asian Collaboration for Evidence-based e-Health Adoption and Application (PANACeA), its history, challenges and successes. It introduces the idea of building a similar Pan-Arctic body towards circumpolar health, using e-Health models. The creation of a Pan-Arctic Collaboration for eHealth / Research (PACeR) would be a first step in identifying, designing, and implementing ‘technologically appropriate and culturally sensitive’ approaches.
