The collection contains his account book filled with notes about his business and political dealings. The account book is from the Continental Bridge Company of Chicago, Illinois and Peotone, Illinois (manufacturers, engineers, and contractors) and is filled with illustrations of the products they made including steel and concrete bridges, structural steel for buildings, steel water towers and tanks, steel, cast iron or corrugated iron culverts and water pipe, and modern road machinery.
