知床周辺海域の沿岸モニタリングおよび船舶観測と係留系観測

世界遺産である知床とその周辺の海洋環境変動を明らかにするために，海洋環境の沿岸モニタリング網を構築し，現場観測のない時期・海域において船舶観測および係留系観測を実施した．実施中の沿岸モニタリングと実施された船舶観測および係留系観測について，物理観測を中心に実施内容の概要を紹介する．得られたデータは知床周辺海域の短期変動・季節変動・経年変動の解明に役立つと期待される． To reveal the oceanic environmental changes in and around Shiretoko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we established coastal monitoring networks for marine environments and conducted shipboard observations and mooring observations in seasons and areas where observations were limited. This overview focuses mainly on the observations of physical oceanography by the ongoing coastal monitoring, as well as shipboard and mooring observations. The obtained data is anticipated to enhance our understanding of the short-term, seasonal, and longterm variations in the Shiretoko region.
