海鷹丸航海中，太平洋で21 地点，印度洋で35地点で採集された浮世在性腹足類を分類し，各種について文献引照と観察事項を記し，採集地点と標本点数を記録した.叉標本保存中，貝殻の溶解した巻貝幼生は種名の同定は不可能であるが，これらに5型を区別し得た.尚Echinospira幼生1点も発見された. 叉両海洋における採集地点の経緯度，採集年月日，時刻，各種の各地点における採集個体数を表1-7に表示した. 本文で記録された種名は次の通りである:前鰓亜綱‐中腹足目一異足超科：Oxygyrus keraudreni ヒレウキガイ，Protatlanta souleyeti, Atlanta peroni ク...
