Balanus crenatus and Semibalanus cariosus were the dominant species, Chthamalus dalli and Balanus balanus larvae being less abundant. Naupliar density was maximal at 0–5 m and decreased with depth. Maximum densities of B.crenatus larvae were observed in Rakovaya Bay, where there are many ships and a seawater-cooled power station.
