ESTIMATION DE LA TENEUR EN ACETATE DE TRIBUTYLEETAIN DANS L'EAU DE MER, PAR UNE METHODE BIOLOGIQUE

Tributyl tin acetate, an active compound of certain antifouling paints, represents a real danger for oyster farming areas of catching spat (E. HIS et R. ROBERT, 1980 and R. ROBERT et E. HIS, 1981). Current chemical methods are not sensitive enough to guarantee the proportions of this product at the...

HIS et R. ROBERT, 1980 and R. ROBERT et E. HIS, 1981). Current chemical methods are not sensitive enough to guarantee the proportions of this product at the toxicity limits of oyster larvae in sea water. It is proposed that a table of effects should be constructed consisting of concentrations of between 100 μg/l. and 0,02 μg/l, on the veligeres of Crassostrea gigas . This table enables the degree of pollution and its evolution to be evaluated in the sea water of a harbour. Text Crassostrea gigas HighWire Press (Stanford University)
