Tidwell has won four Lowell Thomas awards, the highest prize in American travel journalism, and is a former grantee of the National Endowment for the Arts. Tidwell will speak about his most recent documentary film - "We Are All Smith Islanders" - which details the dangers and solutions associated with global warming in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. The EI Undergraduate Fellows program offers a select group of Gettysburg College students the chance to develop their leadership skills and grow in their knowledge and understanding of public policy. Fellows serve on the Eisenhower Institute's College Advisory Council, act as liaisons for assigned Institute events at both locations, and serve as hosts for campus visitors. Students engage fully in the planning and promotion of specific programs and projects. They are responsible for selecting, developing, and promoting a public policy theme with programming in both Washington and in Gettysburg. https://cupola.gettysburg.edu/eipresents/1016/thumbnail.jpg Still Image Smith Island The Cupola - Scholarship at Gettysburg College Orleans ENVELOPE(-60.667,-60.667,-63.950,-63.950) Smith Island ENVELOPE(-62.520,-62.520,-62.981,-62.981)
