I am well. I hope these few lines to find you and your torturing Wounds to be on a Rapid Mend. On our Dangerous Ebents I missed you your loss I do lament & do honestly hope and Wish you present at the earliest Oppurtunity'I have the pleasure to inform You that I am your humble servant in Position of Orderly Sargant of Our Onerable Co. I by the wishes of Lieut Higginson'I hope it is agreeable to your wishes. We sufer much from Your Absents hoping to see Your Friendly Presents soon again. We are slaves to hard fatigue work and bone labor though Cheerful withal with the hope of seeing you soon again.
