Heavy metal pollution in sediment from Sisimiut, Greenland. Adsorption to organic matter and fine particles
Sediment samples from the aquatic environment around Sisimiut were taken. High concentrations of Cu (up to 200 mg/kg) and Cd (up to 4.0 mg/kg) were found in some of the samples. Both of these concentrations are 4 times higher than the limiting concentration where toxicological effects are expected....
