The aim of this article is to present the preliminary results of a magnetotelluric study performed in the area of Kangerlussuaq, West Greenland. The estimated transfer functions will be used in the future for 2-D and 3-D modelling of subsurface resistivity structures, the inuence of the electrically conductive ocean, as well as the source geometry in the auroral oval.
