The wind fields are instantaneous ocean backscatter measurements converted to ocean winds at 10m above the sea surface, through the implementation of dedicated retrieval algorithms and input wind directions from numerical models. The archive is updated daily and users can browse and download the wind fields though a web interface. The maps are available in .nc and .png format.
