Summary: | This dataset was collected as part of the PhD project of Katharina Johanna Kreissig and is connected to several upcoming publications (DOI will be added upon publication) and other upcoming datasets (DOI will be added upon publication). The PhD project was financed by a grant from the Greenland Research Council by way of the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, case number 80.24 "Characterisation and chemometric evaluation of 17 elements in ten seaweed species from Greenland" "Microbiology of bladderwrack harvested in and outside areas impacted by human sewage in Greenland" "Greenland seaweeds for human consumption" https://doi.org/10.11581/DTU:00000097 The above publications describe material collection and analysis in detail, thus here only briefly: fresh seaweeds belonging to ten different species ( Agarum clathratum , Alaria esculenta , Ascophyllum nodosum , Fucus distichus , Fucus vesiculosus , Hedophyllum nigripes , Laminaria solidungula , Palmaria palmata , Saccharina latissima and Saccharina longicruris ) were collected in Greenland in 2017 and 2018 and the content of 17 elements (As, Ca, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, I, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, P, Pb, Se, Zn) analysed by inductively coupled mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Some samples were split in different parts, they carry the same sampleID, but different powderIDs. |
