InSAR/offset-tracking Ice Velocity of Zwally Basin 2.1 between 2019-12-16 and 2020-01-25 from Sentinel-1.

Ice velocity map of Zwally basin 2.1, based on Sentinel-1 data acquired from December 16, 2019 to January 25, 2020. The product is based on a combination of interferometric SAR (InSAR) and offset-tracking measurements. InSAR maps were generated from Sentinel-1A/Sentinel-1B six-day pairs of SLC image...

The product is based on a combination of interferometric SAR (InSAR) and offset-tracking measurements. InSAR maps were generated from Sentinel-1A/Sentinel-1B six-day pairs of SLC images, whereas offset-tracking was employed only on 12-day pairs. The data were processed using the DTU Space IPP processor. A detailed description of the processing and data is available in [1]. Calibration of InSAR measurements was carried out using slow-moving Ground Control Points extracted from a multi-year average mosaic of offset-tracking measurements from PROMICE[2]. Calculation of cartesian velocity components was done assuming surface parallel flow (derived using the TandemX 90m DEM[3]) and taking all available measurements (InSAR and offset-tracking) into account. A manual masking was applied to mask out InSAR measurements with obvious phase unwrapping errors prior to the fusion of measurements. The data are provided on a polar stereographic grid (Latitude of true scale 70N, Reference Longitude 45E) with 50m grid spacing. The horizontal velocity is provided in true meters per day, towards EASTING(x) and NORTHING(y) direction of the grid. Data is provided as a single NetCDF file. The product was generated by DTU Space.
