Samples were taken, using a plankton-pumping system, at 5-m depth intervals from 5 to 185 m. The copepods were identified and enumerated as 25 species, unidentified immature copepodites, and nauplii; five species were divided into males, females, and juveniles. Data for each sample include the date, time, and depth of sampling, and volume of water sampled. These data were collected to begin a description of the vertical and seasonal distributions of zooplankton as part of a long-term study of primary productivity and energy flow in the Arctic Ocean.
