A Nitrate Signal of Solar Flares in Polar Snow and Ice.

A 122-meter firn and ice core was collected on the Greenland Ice Sheet in June, 1992, within the framework of the U.S. Greenland Ice Core Science Project 2 (GISP2). The uppermost 12m of the least compacted portion of the core was immediately sampled and analyzed in the field: the remainder was analy...

The data series included a total of more than 7776 individual samples that have been analyzed simultaneously for both nitrate concentration and electrical conductivity.
