The survey, conducted in October 1991 by Michael Sierzchula, located two previously unknown archaeological sites. MCRA recommends that the dredging be done from the north bank to avoid impacting the archaeological sites. If this is not feasible then the two sites should be tested for National Register of Historic Places significance.
