Summary: | An experiment to study radio-wave scintillations and ionospheric irregularities at high latitudes is described. This involves the routine monitoring of transmission from NNSS satellites from a site in northern Scandinavia, and incorporates coordinated observations with the EISCAT ionospheric radar facility. Some early results, obtained following deployment of the equipment in September 1984, are presented. Keywords include: Radiowave scintillations; ionospheric irregularities; high-latitude ionosphere. |
