Hose fabricated from DuPont Adiprene CM millable urethane was subjected to in-service testing at Fort Greely, AK, and judged acceptable for use to -40 F. The previous serviceability limit had been -25 F. Attempts to fabricate similar hoses from fluorosilicone elastomers were unsuccessful due to problems in processing and end item integrity.
