Air Deployed Oceanographic Mooring (ADOM).

Technology is currently being developed for the unmanned deployment of oceanographic sensors from an aircraft in two regions of the world's oceans; the open ocean and the polar seas. A wide variety of scientific investigations can be persued with air deployed oceanographic moorings which can be...

Both systems share in common the data acquisition and telemetry electronics, sensor system, and decelerator assembly, but differ substantially in all other system aspects.
