Summary:A review of current literature on existing techniques that could be utilized in the rapid location of water sources for field camp use in permafrost regions resulted in the selection of three non-ground contact methods of electrical resistivity and two radar methods as being the most effective techniques. The search included thousands of references; 77 of these were chosen to be included in the annotated bibliography.
