In March 1970 drop penetrometer tests in sea ice were made by Sandia Laboratories for the U.S. Coast Guard. In support of this study, properties of the sea ice penetrated were measured. The data collected included ice temperature, salinity, brine volume, density and Brazil tensile strength versus depth. The data are presented in this report in both tables and graphs as a permanent data source. (Author)
