1973 Performance Survey of Dew Line Ice Cap Stations Dye-2 and Dye-3.

The report summarizes the findings of the 1973 performance survey conducted by the authors at DYE-2 and DYE-3 from 4 June to 11 July 1973. Field work at each site consisted of elevation surveys of building components (footings, truss collars, truss enclosure, and underside of elevated structure); th...

Field work at each site consisted of elevation surveys of building components (footings, truss collars, truss enclosure, and underside of elevated structure); the POL system (tanks, shafts, and tunnels); and the wastewater disposal system (tunnels, pits, and vents); along with the surrounding snow surface. Temperatures were measured in the surrounding snow, truss enclosure, POL tunnels and sewer tunnels. At each site a comprehensive visual inspection was made of the composite building and its appurtenances. See also report dated Apr 74, AD-780 051.
