Effective Horsepower Predictions for United States Coast Guard Proposed Icebreaker Designs Represented by Models 5140, 5151, and 5142.

This report presents the results of bare hull resistance tests on three models which represent candidate hull forms for a proposed U. S. Coast Guard medium polar icebreaker. The tests were oriented toward choice of an optimum after body shape.
