Summary:Detailed investigations of the Murmansk littoral zone were made for a five-year period by the Murmansk Biological Station to determine the biological productivity of the region for possible further commercial exploitation. More efficient use of existing marine biological resources was discussed, such as developing managed, cultivated marine farms.
