Summary: | Information on several mountain snow pack parameters was obtained from a number of snowpits dug in the Bridger Mountains of southwestern Montana. The data were collected during three winters from a total of three sites. The parameters studied included depth, density, age, grain size, ram resistance, shear vane strength, temperature, and air permeability. Air temperature, precipitation, and in some cases, wind speed were also measured. Statistical analyses were performed to determine how the snow pack parameters were related. (Author) |
