Description
Summary:The problem of wind tunnel study of the pattern of air stream flow past a model of mountain terrain for one area in which an industrial complex is being designed. Theoretical justification for using the modeling method and the method of model scale selection is set forth. These results were compared with full-scale photographs and satisfactory agreement between these data was found. Results of experimental studies made it possible to establish snow accumulation zones where placement of snow-protective structures is required.
