The isothermal compressibilities of ice and partially and fully saturated sand and silt at -10C are presented. The tests employ a piston-die device with which a uniaxial load is imposed on a lead encapsulated specimen, resulting in the hydrostatic compression of the test specimen. Pressures to 30 kb...
