The first section is devoted to the industrial development of regions in the European North. The papers analyse the more important economic problems of this part of the country. The second section deals with investigations of the formation of the entire economic complex of the northern part of the West Siberian Lowlands, the development of the main economic factors, and the establishment of a transportation network. The third section contains articles dealing with the growth of productive factors in the northeast part of the U.S. S.R. The fourth and fifth sections contain articles on the formation of labour forces and the development of new mining centres in the North of Canada and the Scandinavian countries and also information material.
