Summary:The book describes and illustrates all flowering plants and vascular cryptograms known to occur in Alaska, the Yukon, the Mackenzie District, and the eastern extremity of Siberia. Some 1,974 taxa, belonging to 1559 species, occur in that region; all are described. A feature of the book is the inclusion of range maps for each taxon: (1) one giving the total circumpolar range and (2) showing distribution within the Alaskan region.
