Summary:The article contains primarily actual observational data for components of the radiation balance for natural and barren tundra conditions in the Amderma region and also for certain types of artificial covers which were set-up by the Leningrad Arctic Expedition for the period 1952-1954. A brief analysis of collected data for individual components of radiation balance is given. The general characteristics of heat processes are examined in the active layer of the surface in the tundra zone. For this purpose are used gradient observational data in the upper layer of soil which were made in 1954 by the above mentioned expedition. Preliminary interrelationships between the heat balance components are differentiated and the relative values of each one of them are presented.
