An analysis of oceanographic and climatic data for forecasting the ice growth during the winter 1965-66 and the climatic outlook for the 1966 Arctic shipping season are included. Results of a preliminary survey of sea-ice conditions in the Labrador Sea, Davis Strait, Denmark Strait, and Baffin Bay are presented. A series of charts shows monthly prognostic sea-ice conditions from mid-May through mid-August 1966. Opening dates and harbor freezing information are included.
