Two prototype picture windows were in-service tested at the NCEL experimental camp near McMurdo, Antarctica. One window was used in the office; the other was used in the mess hall. It was concluded that the picture window satisfies the requirements for a window in the side of a Jamesway and should be used as a standard accessory for the Jamesway.
