The inventory of Source Materials was fundamentally concerned with the physical oceanography, biology and geology of the western North Atlantic continental shelf and adjacent waters. Information elicited by the Inventory was recorded on 3 x 5-inch cards, which are filed at the Museum of Comparative Zoology.
