Cloning and sequencing of fragments of 16S rRNA gene in diatom cultures revealed members of Gammaproteobacteria (Pseudomonas sp.), Betaproteobacteria (Janthinobacterium sp., Hydrogenophaga sp., Methylophilus sp.), Bacteroidetes (Flavobacterium sp., Pedobacter sp.), and Acinobacteria (Nocardioides sp.).
