Summary:Abstract: The problem-based learning method (ABP) is an educational method of learning that is based on andragogy and constructivism. Student performance in the five semesters prior to the year 2000 were compared with the five annual periods beginning in the year 2000. Improvement of student performance was statistically proven. Resumen: El aprendizaje basado en problemas (ABP) es una metodología de enseñanza aprendizaje que se basa en la andragogía y el constructivismo. Comparamos el rendimiento escolar en los cinco períodos semestrales previos al año 2000, con los cinco períodos anuales a partir del 2000. Se demostró estadísticamente una mejoría del rendimiento.
